Amazing experience with Gee Diesel team. A family run feeling experience from start to finish. I received clear, precise no nonsense advice and diagnosis services from Daryl and Paul. My nagging doubts about my Fiesta Diesel car were confirmed explained and then various options were explained and costed ranging from genuine replacement gearbox, new clutch kit, other serviceable partsa underseal treatment to protect my investment or trade in the car for a new or second hand one. They stuck to their costings and pointed out all the potential problems that may arise. I accepted the quote and the risks involved. Daryl then scoured his contacts and the market place and located a genuine 39000 mile replacement Gearbox and priced up the clutch kit and accessories and gave me my final quote. I did provide parameters of costs that I felt I could justify as the car although good bodywork was 11 years old and just started 164000 miles. Yes 164000 miles. We agreed a final costing and I gave the go ahead. The repair took place this week. I dropped it off on Tuesday 13th August 2019 after work and then picked up after work on Thursday 15th. Throughout the fix I was able to be kept informed about the progress. Indeed I was unaware but they even completely undersealed the car with a trusted branded product before attaching new gearbox and clutch and left it overnight to dry so not trapping any water on the underside bodywork of the car. My car was then thoroughly checked and road tested to ensure smooth running, no leaks. All serviceable items were changed during the service including bearings, oils and fluids. I asked for and received a detailed invoice for providence should I choose at some stage sell my vehicle. Overall a superb job done. I did follow up briefly on Friday 16th after work and Daryl and Paul were happy to wait after normal business hours due to road accidents on the motorway to ensure that I was completely happy with the job. I now have a 164000 miles Fiesta car that drives so quietly and smoothly like a 39000mile car. The clutch is so more refined. I was provided with feedback on my parts that were removed and that confirmed that both gearbox and clutch had reached the end of their lives and it was only a matter of time before a catastrophic or more expensive failure may have resulted. Only Daryl and Paul were able to accurately assess my problem and then in a no nonsense way explain my options. This vehicle upgrade was well within my budget guidelines and the undersealing was done to was on my wish list but Paul remembered this and made sure it was done during the upgrade to ensure full underbody treatment. Now that's what I call insanely customer centric service. Just like I like to do in my daily job. I'm now confident that I will be able to keep my car for at least the next couple of years or until my diesel car is no longer welcome on the road. With cars I've always contended that it's better the devil you know and better the service, repair and maintenance engineers you know too. I've now trusted Gee diesel family run firm with the engine and chassis maintenance of my last two vehicles. Often to rectify problems started by Ford dealership repair teams or Fast fit car companies almost writing off my engines. I don't trust any other motor engineer or repair companies to do a big or complex repair on my car. Truly I travel 19000 miles per year and I must have a reliable and durable engine and transmission. Gee Diesel has helped maintain the engine valve seals and new injectors needed after faulty repair and full service electric short with dealership and fast fit company respectively. Gee diesel has brought my engine back to newish and I still get about 50mpg on my 11 year old car. KEEP UP THE AMAZING AND BRILLIANT WORK. ENOUGH SAID. THOROUGHLY RECOMMENDED. DON'T WASTE THEIR VALUABLE TIME. IT'S WELL WORTH PAYING THE DIAGNOSTIC FEE TOO IF YOU'RE UNSURE WHAT YOUR PROBLEM IS - you'll get a thoroughly believable, costed and considered answer. 5 STARS. Excellent garage...... Managed to sort an ongoing problem, over a period of weeks, when alot of garages would've given up!! Won't hesitate to use them again
